The Testudo is the carrier of choice for a massive coalition of Free Men. The Gen 3 takes a good product and makes it great with the Quick-Detach System. A cummerbund is great for its precise adjustability; pull it tight to fit you exactly. The downside is that it takes a bit longer to take it off. The QDS fixes that. Pull a cord away from you and the carrier will open on that side for quick removal. The Testudo Gen 3 is made mostly of 500D Nylon, with bar tacks reinforcing all stress points and PALS webbing covering the outside. MOLLE-compatible webbing for pouches, holsters, and accessories. The generous padding also prevents chafing, making for an armor setup that’s easy to wear for long periods of time. The adjustable shoulder straps, made of nylon, also help you fit the carrier as the low offset makes the rear plate pocket ride at the proper height. The Medium Size Testudo Gen 3 is suited for 10×12” plates, whereas the Large is suited for 11×14” plates. Most users will find the 10×12” size most manageable and sufficient to protect the vitals. We recommend the larger size for users 6’4” tall and above. The Multi-Caliber Rifle Magazine Pouch holds magazines such as 5.56×45 (.223) and 7.62×39 AK. In the Triple variation, you get three of these pouches sewn together. Each can hold one or two magazines. The Trauma Pads decrease blunt force impact from the bullet after the plate stops the round. They are made of a non-newtonian foam that resists compression.
