Verified Industry is the tier for LE officers, federal security officers (FSOs), procurement professionals, dealer principals, and manufacturer staff. The badge + access are manually reviewed. There is no paid path.
What it unlocks
- The Procurement workflow board — verified-only discussion of BVP cycles, cooperative contracts, RFP language, female-fit, and corrections-armor nuance.
- Dealer-rep contact information — named regional reps, not just generic distributor email addresses.
- SME directory access — subject-matter experts who’ve opted in to take technical questions from verified peers.
- A shield badge next to your handle across the community.
- Early access to decision tools (state-vs-state comparator, cooperative-contract matrix) as they ship.
Documents we review
One of the following, depending on your role. Upload via /verify once signed in. All uploads land in a private, encrypted S3 bucket; review is manual and documents are deleted on request.
Law enforcement
Agency-issued credentials, sworn officer ID, or a letter from a supervisor on agency letterhead.
Federal / security officer
Clearance verification letter, FSO-role employer attestation, or agency ID (CAC accepted with redacted edge-detail).
Procurement professional
Agency buyer / contracting-officer ID, PALT/NASPO credential, or W-9 with procurement-division attestation.
Dealer principal or rep
FFL copy (redact serials), manufacturer authorized-dealer letter, or dealer-agreement cover page.
Manufacturer staff
Employer letter on company letterhead, LinkedIn profile matching work email domain, or corporate ID.
SME / consultant
Publications, standards-committee membership (ASTM E54, IACP working group), or practitioner licensure.
SLA
- First touch: within one business day. You’ll get an acknowledgment email from the review team noting any missing documentation.
- Decision: within five business days for standard credentials. Complex cases (cross-agency, confidential roles, international) take longer and we say so up-front.
- Notification: decision posted to your profile + email. Approvals take effect immediately.
What’s visible
- Your handle and tier badge are public on community posts.
- Your agency / organization is private until you opt to display it on your profile. We never use it as a sales signal.
- Verification documents are not visible to anyone outside the review team.
- Moderators (SME + admin) can see a redacted summary (role, date approved) for moderation purposes — not the underlying documents.
