The PROTECH® Tactical NATO family of shields offer free-standing capability with a curved rectangular design for added Type III protection. NIJ 0108.01 Type III tested, the NATO series also defeats the 7.62 x 39mm, 123 gr. Mild Steel Core special threat round. The polyethylene armor composite is protected by an aluminum skin and features a 2” x 10” viewport in the NATO 1 and NATO 2 and a 4” x 16” viewport in the NATO 3.
